"Reforged" is the term Bungie is using for this week's Iron Banner event. After a few player complaints last time about the perceived differences between what was advertised, and what the player actually got, Bungie has tweaked the system just a bit this time around. Let's hope it pays off, as thousands of Guardians head to the Crucible.
Here are the most noticeable changes:
- Only players level 20 and higher can lead a fireteam in the Iron Banner. Lower level players can still join in with their higher level friends.
- Medallions will be awarded for losses in order to encourage players not to quit during a match. Each medallion will grant you a "portion of your lost gains". Collect up to five of them and cash them in after your next victory.
- You'll be able to reset weapon progression if you're unhappy with the way you chose to level a weapon. It's not quite clear whether this is exclusive to Iron Banner weapons.
That about sums it up. Learn more about the event over at Bungie's website. Just a reminder, the Iron Banner will last for one week (until November 24), and The Dark Below DLC releases December 9th.
