The screen shots look like the overall tone has remained quite the same, as one would expect. You'll still collect "bubbles", stickers, and the like, and each different costume will act as a different score multiplier.

Now you can explore Rapture on the go. As of last night, Bioshock is available for download on the app store. Take note that even though the game graphics have been toned down a little bit, you'll still need a newer model iPhone or iPad to play. according to the app store listing, the game is "compatible with iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5 - WILL NOT RUN ON EARLIER DEVICES, INCLUDING: iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad 1, iPad Mini 1, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 5, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 3"
Pick up Bioshock on the app store here for $14.99. No, that's not a typo. 2K Games' China studio is currently working on bringing the Original to iOS. Will it shine just as much on the new platform? Visually speaking, no. In-game lighting and shadows will be cut down significantly. This will inevitably subtract from the atmosphere that Rapture so wonderfully created for us seven years ago. The source article also references, "hideously ugly fire animations" during the opening plane crash. But hey, that's going to be expected when porting a game like this into a portable system. Engadget had this so say about the overall experience: [But] maybe you haven't played BioShock before and you're not overloaded with lofty expectations (like me). First things first, you're in for a treat! Second, even without my lofty expectations, you should probably play this on a couch with an Xbox 360. BioShock is a great example of world-building in video games, and the iOS experience is a subpar representation. Simply put, between the lessened scale and the delivery medium, BioShock iOS is distinctly less immersive. Bioshock will be available for the following iOS devices: iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C or iPhone 5
