There are two types of console shoppers. Type number one waits in line in the freezing cold at midnight, waiting ever so impatiently for the doors of their local store to open, so that they can be the first of their friends to have the shiny new console on launch day. (i.e. me as a college student at the launch of the XBOX 360.) Type number two waits a few months until stores are re-stocked, looks for the best sale, and usually picks up a console with a game or two for the same price, or cheaper, than the first type. (i.e. me now.)
Well, in the case of the XBOX One, type number two is about to have their day.
Microsoft announced that starting November 2, the XBOX One will be getting a temporary price drop. The console will come down to $350 until January 3, 2015.
While a $350 Xbox One isn't the most unusual thing we have seen lately, what is unusual is that this promotion applies to XBOX One bundles as well. This includes a $50 price cut for the Sunset Overdrive Bundle (now $349), the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle (which sports a 1TB hard drive, now $449) and the Assassins Creed: Unity Bundle (which includes AC: Unity AND AC: Black Flag. Both digital downloads, now $349).
Happy shopping type two!
