It looks as though Microsoft's move to make the Kinect optional for the Xbox One has paid off. With the system now costing $100 less than before, the company was able to make the following statement, "we've seen sales of Xbox One more than double in the US, compared to sales in May." Originally, the Xbox One had a price tag of $499, however, since May 9th consumers have had the choice to buy the unit without Kinect for $100 less.
