Though we've been able to us a DualShock 4 on a PS3 through a wired connection for some time, yesterday Playstation released a firmware update which allows wireless use of their DualShock 4 controller on the Playstation 3 system. The same bugs that were present through the wired connection are still present now, which means no sixaxis support, or vibration, but even with these few problems, it's nice that players have the option. Here's hoping that Sony can stomp out the rest of the bugs sometime soon.
For the record, the XBOX One controller is not compatible with the XBOX 360, however, Microsoft recently released drivers for Windows that let you use the controller on your PC through a wired connection.
