This month’s Nintendo Direct gave us a lot to look forward to in 2015. News sites all over are still trying to catch up with their articles, trying to cover each announcement individually. I thought I’d get all of the big announcements covered in one article, thus saving ourselves some time. Here are some of the most notable announcements Nintendo made yesterday during their broadcast.
- Trailer shown for Fire Emblem for 3DS.
- Pokemon Shuffle announced. A free-to-play title for the 3DS.
- Wii games will soon be downloadable for the Wii U. First three titles are Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid Prime Trilogy.
- Kirby and the Rainbow Curse releasing February 20th.
- New Amiibo figures shown for Smash Bros. and Mario series.
- Mario Party 10 will have Amiibo support.
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars coming to Wii U. Releasing March 5.

- New 3DS XL Coming to North America. Red and Black versions. $199.99. Comes with 4GB Micro SD card.
- February update for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will add Amiibo functionality.
- Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. coming March 13
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3D coming to New Nintendo 3DS in April.
- Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate New Nintendo 3DS XL Bundle coming to GameStop on February 13. Coming with a special edition New Nintendo 3DS with the Monster Hunter logo on it.
- Majora’s Mask 3D for 3DS coming February 13. Releasing alongside Majora’s Mask 3D Edition Nintendo 3DS. Also releasing February 13. Available for pre-order at Gamestop (already sold out, but you’ll be able to grab one in store on February 13.
